Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 1 year of management experience or 3+ years in sports journalism with demonstrated leadership skills
- A proven track record both writing and editing in a fast-paced newsroom
- Strong news judgment and an ability to identify trends and story opportunities quickly
- Experience managing or mentoring other reporters
- Deep familiarity with the New Jersey high school sports landscape
- An ability to balance hands-on management with your own active reporting and writing
- A collaborative approach to working with fellow managers and across teams
- An ability to work independently under tight deadlines while keeping a team aligned
