Role Overview

Cisco is looking for a Content Writer to shape clear, consistent, on-brand storytelling across a wide range of formats and channels. In this role, you will translate complex technical and business topics into content that resonates with customers, partners, employees, and industry audiences alike. The ideal candidate is a versatile writer who can move fluidly between content formats and platforms.

What You Will Do

Write and edit content across multiple formats, including video scripts, blog posts, social media copy, executive talking points, presentations, and internal/external communications. Translate technical concepts into accessible language. Partner with communications and marketing teams to develop content supporting executive visibility and corporate storytelling initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a communications, media, content role. Experience writing for business or tech media highly desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional writer and storyteller who can persuade audiences to action; ability to connect with audiences with authentic and captivating copy
  • Strong command of tone, voice, and editorial judgment, with the ability to adapt style to different channels and audiences without losing brand consistency
  • Proficient in AI tools and able to use technology to reimagine processes and drive positive outcomes
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance concurrent projects
  • Knowledge of Cisco’s business, products, and culture is a plus
  • Able to share portfolio or writing samples
