Job Description
The Continuous Improvement Engineering Manager is responsible for developing the CI vision for the site/function, facilitating the development of site/function strategy deployment plans, and coaching and mentoring others on strategic activities.

Requirements

  • Design and deploy the continuous improvement (CI) goals and strategies for the site/function through the application of CI principles, systems, methods and tools
  • Focus CI efforts to flow value to customers, both internal and external
  • Coordinate and oversee CI activity for the site/function
  • Facilitate/mentor lean and six sigma improvement activity to improve the flow within value streams
  • Lead or facilitate the management gemba (“go and see”) activities and promote gemba activities within the organization
  • Co-lead the site/function CI Committee with the site/function leader
  • Lead and measure the adoption of the Systematic CI Framework Standards
  • Delivery of training and/or kaizen facilitation at external organizations
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate CI teams
  • Coordinate and encourage the sharing and adoption of good practices between customers, departments, sites and functions
