The role will also validate appropriate template and clause usage, review agreements for adherence to HIPAA-impacting provisions, and support Legal Affairs and Procurement in periodic updates to templates and clause libraries.

Requirements
- Associate's degree in paralegal studies or a bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Seven years of contract specialist, or legal analyst experience, with hands-on drafting, reviewing, and redlining of contracts
- Strong knowledge of contract fundamentals: indemnity, limitation of liability, confidentiality, data privacy, termination, audit, insurance
- Working knowledge of healthcare privacy/compliance concepts (HIPAA; basic CMS/ACA awareness for payer contracts)
- Excellent written and verbal communication; meticulous attention to detail
- Strong understanding of contract/commercial terms, including SLAs, BAA requirements, and business continuity
- Demonstrated exposure to healthcare regulatory concepts (e.g., HIPAA, awareness of payer regulatory obligations)
- Strong familiarity with healthcare regulations
- Intermediate working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Experience with SharePoint and document version control
