Job Description
The Contracting and Procurement Officer I-II position is responsible for the awarding of contracts for the procurement of products and services for multiple state agencies, departments, and institutions. The job involves technical and administrative support, preparation of bids specifications, requisitions, and contracts, as well as monitoring contract activity and advising agency personnel on departmental requirements.

Requirements

  • Three years of technical clerical work
  • Two years of technical experience in contracting and/or procurement
  • Knowledge of competitive bid procedures, state purchasing laws and regulations, and business communications
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
