Contracting Specialist, Journeyman

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required
• Bachelor's degree with focus in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, Economics, Public Administration, Managerial Administration or related business discipline
• 5+ years of experience as a contracting specialist in a federal government organization
• 5+ years of experience supporting contracting officers on actions within the scope of limited warrant authorities (e.g., simplified acquisition, commercial acquisitions, and mid-tier procurements)
• DAWIA Level II certification, Back to Basics Contracting Professional certification, or equivalent
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and applicable agency supplements, with the ability to apply current policies, updates, and guidance
• Proficiency in contract writing and filing systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Contract Closeout Module, SharePoint, and Records Application Management (RMA) or similar federal Government procurement applications
• Demonstrated experience in simplified acquisition of commercial items, fixed price contracts, contract closeout, and brand name justifications
• Familiarity with FAR Parts 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 19, 31, 33 and 37...as applicable to commercial and simplified acquisitions
• Demonstrated experience in acquisition planning, milestone development, cradle-to-grave contracting, and cost contracts
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and defensible acquisition documentation
