Job Description
HDR is seeking a Control Systems Specialist/Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) Business Group in Folsom or Walnut Creek, CA. The role will involve designing complex industrial and building control and SCADA systems, working with multidiscipline design teams, and participating in the development of control system construction documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm
  • Minimum of 4 years of applicable experience
  • Hands on experience designing control systems
  • Knowledge of Network, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and/or Direct Digital Control (DDC) hardware and software
  • Knowledge of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software and capabilities
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and their applications
  • Knowledge of sequence of operations for industrial process and/or building systems including Mechanical/HVAC, Electrical/Power Monitoring, Lighting, etc.
