Controller

Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection is seeking a dedicated Controller to oversee all financial activities. The Controller will handle budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, and cost analysis while also managing and developing a high-performing team.

What You Will Do

The Controller will be responsible for financial management, accounting operations, cost analysis and control, financial planning and strategy, and people management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, proven experience as a Controller or similar role, and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the construction or mechanical contracting industry
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Proficiency in financial management software (Sage 300 CRE preferred) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in managing and leading a team
