Role OverviewThe Controller manages the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting that supports strategic decision-making. They safeguard company assets through robust internal controls and compliance, while partnering with senior leadership to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
What You Will Do
The Controller oversees accounting operations, budgeting, audits, and financial analysis, and fosters a high-performing team aligned with company values. They will perform quarterly check-in conversations with direct reports, administer training, and direct and supervise accounts receivable and payable.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of progressive accounting leadership experience, a strong background in inventory valuation and A/R management, and experience in food distribution or related industries. They will have advanced knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-10 years of progressive accounting leadership experience
