Role OverviewThe Controller oversees the organization's day-to-day accounting operations and ensures the integrity of all financial reporting. This role provides hands-on financial leadership, supports strategic decision-making, and develops accounting staff to maintain the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
What You Will Do
The Controller will lead and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, billing, general ledger, and account reconciliations. They will also supervise and mentor three accounting staff, foster a culture of collaboration and accountability, and proactively identify operational, financial, and reporting risks.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and management experience; nonprofit experience preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience with a history of developing staff.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Familiarity with Uniform Guidance a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience working with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Power Point, etc).
- Experience with accounting software; Sage Intacct preferred.
- Experience with payroll processing software; Paycom preferred.
