Role OverviewThe Controller is a senior, hands-on accounting leader responsible for the integrity of the company's financial records, the monthly and annual close process, internal controls, and day-to-day accounting operations.
What You Will Do
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, prepare and review consolidated financial statements, deliver management reporting packages, and maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role, and experience in professional services, staffing, PEO, or HR outsourcing/services industries.
Requirements
- Deep working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Proven experience managing and developing an accounting team
- Hands-on experience with a modern ERP/accounting system
- Experience with payroll tax compliance across multiple states
- Strong communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly
