Controller

The Controller will lead and strengthen the financial operations of a growing Texas-based equipment dealership and rental company. The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting, improving financial reporting, internal controls, business processes, and systems.

What You Will Do

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, AP, AR, collections, payroll, and fixed assets. Develop financial dashboards and KPIs, analyze profitability, and support budgeting, forecasting, and lender reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior accounting leadership position
• Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, AP, AR/collections, payroll, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
• Experience managing and developing employees
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting software proficiency
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel regularly between company locations
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
