As a Controls Engineer, you will have the knowledge of automated assembly systems, solid understanding of basic theory of industrial controls system applications, design, and operation, and be able to troubleshoot and solve problems using creative solutions.

Requirements

  • Maintaining checklists
  • Review and input data into PLC log
  • Review shift reports
  • Participation in and preparation for managerial meetings
  • Programming
  • Work across with other facilities
  • Work cross functionally with other departments
  • Utilize team member feedback
  • Find solutions to critical issues
  • Maintain and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
  • HMI performance
  • Evaluate new manufacturing and controls technologies
  • Work with tools to find the root cause of an issue
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Keep equipment operating and improve equipment uptime by performing periodic audits
  • Identify and implement error proofing requirements throughout the production process
  • Incident reporting
  • SOT walks
  • Follow health and safety processes
  • Act in a proactive and preventative safety behavior
  • Documentation and reports
  • Ensure that you stay up to date on controls technology
  • Stay compliant with training required for position
  • All other duties as assigned
