Job Description
Friendship is looking for a Cook to join their team at the Friendship Richfield Joseph C. Thomas Assisted Living campus in Salem, VA. The Cook will prepare daily meals for residents, staff, and visitors, and must follow facility policies and procedures related to food safety and sanitation.

Requirements

  • Correctly and safely uses kitchen equipment and utensils for food preparation, service, and cleaning
  • Abide by facility policies and procedures as well as laws and regulations related to food safety and sanitation
  • Prepares quality, nutritious foods by following direction/assignments
  • Follows cleaning schedule of equipment and areas as assigned
  • Uses communication sheets to tell staff which foods have been prepared and seeks approval for any changes or substitutions
  • Understands and uses forecasting, work production, and communication sheets
  • Checks tray line after meals for leftovers
