Job Description
Friendship is looking for a Cook to prepare daily meals for residents, staff and visitors at their Salem, VA location. The ideal candidate has cooking experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

  • Correctly and safely uses kitchen equipment and utensils for food preparation, service and cleaning
  • Abide by facility policies and procedures as well as laws and regulations related to food safety and sanitation
  • Prepares quality, nutritious foods by following direction/assignments
  • Follows cleaning schedule of equipment and areas as assigned
  • Uses communication sheets to tell staff which foods have been prepared and seeks approval for any changes or substitutions
  • Understands and uses forecasting, work production and communication sheets
  • Checks tray line after meals for leftovers
