Role Overview

The Cook III is responsible for ensuring the proper preparation and cooking of all food items in a safe, timely, and organized manner, maintaining a high quality standard. The role involves preparing food according to established recipes and restaurant standards, maintaining organization and cleanliness in work areas, and ensuring station is prepared to meet anticipated business levels.

What You Will Do

The primary responsibilities of the Cook III include preparing food items, maintaining proper cooking temperatures, practicing FIFO, and maintaining organization and cleanliness in work areas. The role also involves assisting fellow staff, expediting the line, and consistently meeting ticket time requirements.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form
  • Interpersonal skills with focused attention on guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a high volume kitchen required
  • ServeSafe certification required
  • Enrolled in or graduated from a Culinary program preferred
  • Working knowledge of sanitation and Health department rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and follow food preparation recipes
  • Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to access all areas of the property
  • Ability to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction
  • Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned
