Cook

Weiser Memorial Hospital is looking for a full-time cook to join their team. The cook will prepare and cook food for hospital patients, staff, and visitors under the direct supervision of the Nutritional Services Manager. What You Will Do

The cook will follow recipes, prepare food, and maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets and patient room service guidelines. They will also be responsible for maintaining the kitchen in a clean and organized manner and observing infection control practices.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• One year of food service experience and/or institutional cooking experience preferred
• Previous experience in hospital food preparation preferred
• Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment
• Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression
• Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles for service excellence
• Have or willing to obtain an Idaho Food Handler License
