Role OverviewThe Cook prepares and serves resident meals using proper food handling and safety techniques resulting in foods that meet the nutritional guidelines and safety standards, treating our residents with respect.
What You Will Do
Reviews menus, inspects special diet trays, performs administrative requirements, ensures dietary procedures are followed, assists in establishing food service production lines, processes diet changes, and performs other duties as assigned.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, read recipes, cook a variety of foods in large quantities, and have two or more years of cooking experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two or more years of cooking experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to read recipes and convert ingredients to different serving sizes
- Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
