Role OverviewThe Cook is responsible for the preparation, cooking, and serving of food in an institution, following New York City Food Standards and Executive Order 122. The role requires knowledge of sanitary codes and the ability to provide professional and courteous service to staff, residents, and co-workers.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include preparing and cooking food, portioning out food, maintaining the cleanliness and order of the work area, and training Institutional Aids and contracted employees in food preparation and sanitation.
