Job Description
Role Overview

As a Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing meals in accordance with pre-planned menus, maintaining kitchen equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. You'll also assist in instructing cook helpers and work-based learning students in safe food preparation methods.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing foods for special center functions, visitors, and off-center assignments, as well as assisting in cleaning assignments to maintain the cafeteria. You'll also be responsible for stockroom commodities and recommending replenishment items.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe/Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • One (1) year experience as a food handler
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
