Job Description

Requirements

  • Prepare and portion various food items with the highest of quality
  • Wrap, label, and date prepared food items for storage
  • Receive, store, and rotate supplies as delivered
  • Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus
  • Check food storage areas on a daily basis to ensure proper food rotation
  • Use and clean cooking and food preparation equipment
  • Orient, motivate, supervise, and evaluate employees of production and kitchen component
  • Maintain general and assigned sanitation duties in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Maintain a rapport with other departments to assure that food service can be maintained
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information
  • Report exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious material and hazardous chemicals
  • Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate a courteous and responsible attitude toward staff, residents, and visitors
  • Work effectively with other staff members to produce a cohesive supportive work environment
  • Work with little supervision
  • Read, write, and speak English effectively and communicate written and verbally
