Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • One year of food service experience in a healthcare dietary setting
  • General knowledge of quantity food preparation and portioned serving
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff, residents, and the public
  • Numerical ability necessary for computations and inventory control
  • Able to work in a hot/cold environment and utilize computers for tasks
  • Ability to supervise dietary staff and initiate replacement calls
  • Determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus
