Job Description
The Coordinator II position is responsible for providing consultation and technical assistance related to curriculum, instruction, and interventions, as well as coordinating professional learning opportunities and monitoring implementation and effectiveness of special education programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field
  • Valid Texas teacher certificate with required Special Education endorsements
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Three years of experience as a Special Education Teacher
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of curriculum materials, instructional delivery and classroom management
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in special education program applications
  • Demonstrated ability to align special education instructional standards with TEKS
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and oral format
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum trends, innovative programs and best practices for inclusive classrooms
  • Demonstrated knowledge of structured teaching methodology and techniques
  • Must have own transportation
