Role Overview

The Coordinator of Maps Program leads the strategic development of the MAPs services statewide, formulating priorities and fostering a work environment consistent with the Easter Seals vision and mission. This position requires occasional travel and supervises the MAPs Leads as well as Camp Counselors. The Coordinator oversees the adult camp once a quarter.

What You Will Do

Develop the MAPS team through motivational leadership, understand and support MAPs Lead staff across the state, develop performance plans, and provide MAPs services in any region of the state of Tennessee. Connect with community partners, volunteers, and other human resources to assist with the successful implementation of MAPs and Recreation Camp Services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in recreation, special education or related field or the equivalent of job experience and education
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid automobile insurance
  • ACRE Certification or CESP, earned within nine months of hire
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to organize and keep detailed records
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and other programs as applicable
  • Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills
  • Ability to make decisions in the best interest of persons served
  • Ability to learn new skills, including using computer programs and various modes of enabling technology
