Role OverviewThe Corporate Governance Counsel will support Bloomberg in promoting excellent standards of governance by collaborating with colleagues and handling cutting-edge, international governance and corporate structure matters. The role involves advising stakeholders on compliance with governance practices, laws, and regulations, drafting and reviewing agreements and governance materials, and collaborating with colleagues in Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Accounting, Tax, and Treasury to analyze and design corporate entity arrangements.
What You Will Do
The Corporate Governance Counsel will be responsible for drafting and reviewing corporate disclosures, managing and maintaining corporate registers, minute books, organizational charts, and public filings, and leading board meeting preparation cycles for regulated subsidiaries.

Requirements
- JD degree and active membership in the New York bar
- 5 years practicing corporate law at a top law firm and/or in-house legal department of a multinational company
- Strong experience drafting agreements, disclosures, and resolutions
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and exemplary attention to detail
- Proactive attitude and approach to managing projects and leading initiatives
- Eagerness to develop knowledge of corporate law and governance practices
- Confidence to work effectively and with minimal supervision on matters that require significant collaboration with key stakeholders
- Integrity and discretion when handling and advising on confidential or sensitive information
