Job Description
The Corporate Security Officer is responsible for providing a safe and secure work environment for Nassau associates, building tenants, visitors, contractors, and the public, and for protecting Nassau’s physical assets.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to interact with associates, tenants, visitors and the public, in a professional and courteous manner.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Active listening skills
Possess a valid State of Connecticut Guard Card
CPR / AED / Basic First Aid Certification, or the ability to pass certification after onsite training is completed.
At least 3-5 years of meaningful / verifiable employment in any of, or a combination of the following areas: Security, Law Enforcement, Military, Emergency Management, Customer Service.
Knowledge and skill in security access control, alarms, radio, CCTV, and public-address systems.
Ability to identify, evaluate and respond to critical issues and situations effectively.
Attention to detail and skill in recording data accurately and writing reports.
Skill in analyzing problems and making sound decisions.
Ability to learn and follow SOP manuals and all emergency procedures (i.e., evacuation, fire, medical, bomb threat, workplace violence, etc.).
Must attend and successfully complete all required training.
Must have weekend availability and third shift availability.
