Job Description
The Corporate Security Officer is responsible for providing a safe and secure work environment for Nassau associates, building tenants, visitors, contractors, and the public, and for protecting Nassau’s physical assets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to interact with associates, tenants, visitors and the public, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Possess a valid State of Connecticut Guard Card
  • CPR / AED / Basic First Aid Certification, or the ability to pass certification after onsite training is completed.
  • At least 3-5 years of meaningful / verifiable employment in any of, or a combination of the following areas: Security, Law Enforcement, Military, Emergency Management, Customer Service.
  • Knowledge and skill in security access control, alarms, radio, CCTV, and public-address systems.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate and respond to critical issues and situations effectively.
  • Attention to detail and skill in recording data accurately and writing reports.
  • Skill in analyzing problems and making sound decisions.
  • Ability to learn and follow SOP manuals and all emergency procedures (i.e., evacuation, fire, medical, bomb threat, workplace violence, etc.).
  • Must attend and successfully complete all required training.
  • Must have weekend availability and third shift availability.
