Role Overview

This position requires an individual who can work in a busy environment, possesses solid communication skills, is detail oriented and very organized. In the event of an absence, the position will be filled by adequately trained personnel. The role involves working with carriers, brokers, and 3PL providers, and utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP systems, and carrier portals.

What You Will Do

Audit carrier invoices, validate linehaul charges, compare carrier invoices to shipment records, and identify duplicate invoices, billing errors, and overpayments. Ensure all invoices are coded correctly and submitted in accordance with company policy. Investigate billing discrepancies and communicate directly with carriers to resolve issues.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of transportation, logistics, freight audit, billing, accounting, or carrier settlement experience, and experience using TMS, ERP, or freight payment systems. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, and an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is required.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–5 years of transportation, logistics, freight audit, billing, accounting, or carrier settlement experience
  • Experience auditing freight invoices and transportation-related costs
  • Experience working with carriers, brokers, and 3PL providers
  • Experience using TMS, ERP, or freight payment systems preferred
