Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Correction Lieutenant to supervise correction officers and enforce security measures in a controlled environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in enforcement of security measures and supervisory principles/techniques.

Requirements

  • Supervise correction officers and correction sergeants/counselors
  • Instruct and evaluate CO's
  • Assign staff to posts
  • Enforce post orders assignments
  • Conduct surveillance security of institution and property
  • Prevent escapes and apprehend escapees
  • Monitor and direct custody operations
  • Attend monthly unit meetings
  • Assist in supervising and arranging for the supervision of meaningful activities
  • Manage disputes and seek resolution involving incarcerated population
