Role Overview

Directs assigned mental healthcare-related projects, coordinates with other services, and ensures compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. Oversees the delivery of mental health services and provides clinical supervision to institutional CNPs/PAs/administrators/mental health care staff.

What You Will Do

Examine, diagnose, and treat patients within scope of CNP/DNP practice. Monitor progress of and intervenes in the course of chronic illnesses using DRC policies/protocols for guidance. Provide direct clinical services on-site and/or via tele-med as needed to cover unexpected short-term emergency clinical needs.

Requires a valid license as Registered Nurse, completion of advanced level practice nurse program for Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner, and certified by Ohio Board of Nursing for advanced practice with valid certificate of authority & certificate to prescribe in accordance with ORC 4723.

Requirements

  • Valid license as Registered Nurse
  • Completion of advanced level practice nurse program for Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Certified by Ohio Board of Nursing for advanced practice with valid certificate of authority & certificate to prescribe in accordance with ORC 4723
  • 5 years' experience in planning, administering & compliance with health care program(s)
  • Or 5 years' experience as Correctional/Nurse Practitioner, 65651/65652
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure
