Role Overview

The Correctional Grievance Officer 2 directs, coordinates, and monitors the inmate grievance process, prepares statistical reports, and ensures compliance with laws, rules, and procedures. The role involves investigating and processing inmate grievances, identifying problem areas, and recommending improvements. The officer also serves as a liaison between the Warden and inmates, processes and submits findings, and trains staff on inmate grievance procedures.

Requirements

  • 3 yrs. trg. or 3 yrs. exp. in adult rehabilitation & correction system
  • 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in investigative methods & techniques
  • 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in behavioral or social sciences
  • Or 12 mos. exp. as Correctional Grievance Officer 1, 63171
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment
