Role OverviewThis position is located at Hardee Correctional Institution and involves supervising Correctional Officers and Correctional Officer Sergeants. The incumbent has regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60L-36, Florida Administrative Code. The Officer assigned to this position has responsibility for supervising Correctional Officers and Correctional Officer Sergeants assigned to any security post on any of the established shifts.
What You Will Do
Duties include planning, organizing, and coordinating the activities of all Correctional Officers and Correctional Officer Sergeants assigned to a shift, supervising searches for contraband, making daily inspections of buildings and grounds, and conducting periodic individual counseling with staff.

Requirements

- Must not have received a suspension within the past 12 months
- Must not have received an involuntary demotion within the past 24 months
- Must not have received less than a 3.00 rating on a performance evaluation within the past 3 fiscal years
