Role Overview

Reporting to the Associate Warden of Programs at a multi-custody male correctional facility, this position works in the Programs Department and is responsible for directing and administering programs for offenders, supervising subordinate personnel, and coordinating programs with custody staff.

The main day-to-day responsibilities include directing programs for offenders, supervising subordinate personnel, and coordinating programs with custody staff. The position may also require serving in a custody role during emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services or Criminal Justice field from an appropriately accredited institution
  • Two years of experience in correctional programs management or related work
  • Documented experience with report writing
  • Documented knowledge of case management practices, or supportive counseling techniques and/or interviewing techniques for intake assessments
