Role OverviewReporting to the Correctional Housing Unit Manager II, this position provides supervision for subordinate officers regarding their assigned tasks with male offenders in a Minimum custody state correctional facility.
What You Will Do
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting shift line-up, making shift assignments, inspecting personnel, supervising and assigning subordinate officers, completing and reviewing time reports, and accounting for persons and funds.

The selected candidate may be scheduled to work any shift and will work weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 staffing coverage. The position requires knowledge of facility operations, prisons' policy and procedures, and the ability to work rotating and various duty assignments.
Requirements
- MUST be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
- Meet Criminal Justice Standards requirements (12 NCAC 09G .0302)
- Pass a criminal background check
- Produce a negative drug screening result
- Successfully complete medical and psychological evaluations
- Possess a valid driver's license
