Role OverviewThe Correctional Sergeant III will provide first-line supervision to Correctional Officer III's in a close-custody institution, oversee officer activities, and ensure the custody, security, and welfare of offenders.
What You Will Do
The primary duties of the Correctional Sergeant III include assigning lower-level custody staff to posts, arranging work schedules, and implementing operational procedures.

Requirements
- High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
- Three years of experience as a Correctional Officer
- Two years of experience as a Correctional Officer III
- Eligibility for certification by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training and Standards Commission
