Role OverviewReporting to the Correctional Housing Unit Manager and/or Correctional Lieutenant III at a multi-custody male correctional facility, the primary duties of the Correctional Sergeant III include providing first-line supervision to Correctional Officer III's, assigning lower level custody staff to post(s), overseeing officer activities and performance, and ensuring that custody, security, and welfare of offenders is maintained.

Requirements
- High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
- Three years of experience as a Correctional Officer
- Two years of experience as a Correctional Officer III
- Eligibility for certification by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training and Standards Commission
