Job Description
Join the Alto-Shaam Team and work as a Cost Accountant to analyze, report, and control costs associated with manufacturing, inventory, and operations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 3+ years of experience in cost accounting.

Requirements

  • Maintain and update standard costs for products and services in the ERP system.
  • Analyze variances between actual and standard costs; prepare monthly variance reports.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate costing for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to validate cost structures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and review cost-related journal entries and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to cost accounting.
  • Productivity analysis including headcount analysis and staffing levels supporting operations
  • Lead annual operational planning for manufacturing including budgeting and forecasting
  • Develop and maintain cost models for new products and projects.
  • Partnering with operations to support make/buy decisions, capital investments, inventory management, VAVE, and other needs (ROI)
  • Provide margin analysis and profitability reports for management decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
