Role Overview

The Counseling Manager is responsible for managing counseling units to ensure that needed counseling services are available for and provided to all trainees. This is a supervisory management position that requires serving on a rotating basis as the senior weekend duty officer.

What You Will Do

The Counseling Manager will assist students in adjusting to Center life, provide supervision, behavior modification, counseling, and act as a positive role model and mentor. They will also ensure that services meet the needs of students in a timely professional manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (including 15 semester hours of instruction in social services-related instruction)
  • two years' experience in counseling or related field
  • two years' experience working with youth and young adults
  • ability to obtain a state driver's license
  • valid CPR/FA certification
