Role OverviewThe Commission's Homeless Services Bureau provides emergency shelter, workforce development, and housing services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Counselor role is part of this effort, working to make homelessness rare, brief, and one time in Boston. The role operates 24/7 and provides care to over 5,000 individuals annually.
What You Will Do
The Counselor will ensure guest safety, perform rounds, search for contraband, intervene in conflict situations, develop positive relationships with guests, and maintain a stable environment. They will also monitor meals, coordinate supplies, and perform administrative tasks.

Requirements
- Associate of Science Degree OR High School Diploma / GED
- 1 year of related experience
- Experience working with addicted and mentally ill populations

- Valid MA driver's license and good driving record
