Role OverviewEmployees in this position perform a variety of tasks related to the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of program clients. These employees participate in the planning, preparation, and delivery of in-service training as directed by supervisory personnel.
What You Will Do
Assesses clients referred for substance abuse and mental health evaluations, makes treatment recommendations, performs case management, and provides individual and family counseling.

Requires a Master's Degree in a field related to Human Services, at least one year of experience in a mental health and/or addictions treatment setting, and a certification as an Addictions Professional (CAP).

- extensive knowledge of all aspects of addictions and/or mental health treatment and rehabilitation
- familiarity with various models of treatment
- understanding of various therapeutic techniques and approaches
- ability to identify and utilize the most effective form of treatment with each client
- strong knowledge base regarding the causes, symptoms, and progression of substance abuse and/or mental health problems
