Role OverviewThe Counter Terrorism Analyst will work with the Counter Terrorism Unit to investigate domestic and international threats to the citizens of New York, with an emphasis on disrupting terrorist activities. The Analyst will work closely with NYPD and federal law enforcement agencies, and will be responsible for assisting with data-collection, organization, and analysis. The Analyst will perform various administrative and investigative functions, including creating and presenting briefings on related case and subject matter topics.
What You Will Do
The Counter Terrorism Analyst will be responsible for reading and reviewing international and domestic terrorism materials, organizing evidence, participating in witness interviews, drafting legal process and orders, preparing transcripts, compiling and analyzing data, creating and maintaining databases, and performing a variety of administrative and investigative duties.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and one year of relevant experience OR master's degree
- Excellent organization, communication, writing, and creative problem-solving skills
- Proficient in presentation software such as PowerPoint, Photoshop, Avid, Premiere, and other presentation software
- Ability to effectively communicate investigative results to others
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy
- Knowledge of the ideology, leadership, goal, and tactics of major terrorist groups
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency
- Knowledge of ARCGIS or other mapping software
- Knowledge of ghost guns, 3D printing, drones
