Job Description
The Montana Judicial Branch is seeking a Court Reporter to work with the Honorable Judge Frank Joseph in the 2nd Judicial District. The ideal candidate will have experience as an official court reporter or be a graduate of a post-secondary court reporting program. The role involves capturing and preserving a verbatim record of court proceedings using computerized recording equipment or a stenograph machine.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a post-secondary court reporting program approved by the NCRA and the Montana Supreme Court
  • Experience as an official court reporter in a courtroom setting
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot computerized recording systems
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Ability to produce transcripts
  • Understanding of court procedures
  • Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) Certification and Verified Realtime Reporter (CRR) Certification (preferred)
