Job Description
The Montana Judicial Branch is seeking a Court Reporter to work with the Honorable Judge Frank Joseph in the 2nd Judicial District. The ideal candidate will have experience as an official court reporter or be a graduate of a post-secondary court reporting program. The role involves capturing and preserving a verbatim record of court proceedings using computerized recording equipment or a stenograph machine.
Requirements
Graduate of a post-secondary court reporting program approved by the NCRA and the Montana Supreme Court
Experience as an official court reporter in a courtroom setting
Ability to operate and troubleshoot computerized recording systems
Excellent typing skills
Ability to produce transcripts
Understanding of court procedures
Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) Certification and Verified Realtime Reporter (CRR) Certification (preferred)
