Job Description
Under the general direction of the court administrator and deputy court administrator, performs a variety of highly responsible, confidential and complex administrative duties for the court administrator, deputy court administrator, judges; provides support for all divisions of the court in both simple and complex court matters.
Requirements
Have no felony offense convictions
Pass a criminal background check and drug test
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Pass testing requirements to be a certified LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network) operator within six (6) months of employment and recertify as applicable
Have a minimum of two (2) years office or clerical experience in an office or court environment
Possess considerable knowledge of court rules, regulations, policies and procedures
Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Be able to work independently and to set priorities to meet deadlines
Be able to work well in a team environment
Possess attention to detail and accuracy in work performance
Possess good organizational, filing, verbal and writing skills
Must attain State of Michigan certification as a Certified Electronic Operator (CEO) within first (1) year of employment and recertify as applicable
Have advanced knowledge of personal computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Polycom)
Be able to interact firmly, calmly and impartially with attorneys, litigants, witnesses and the general public
Possess the ability to use sound judgment within established procedural guidelines
