Role OverviewThe Crater I will be responsible for preparing and assembling wooden containers and packing large and heavy products and fragile apparatus for shipment. The role involves constructing non-standard boxes, crates, or skids for domestic or foreign shipments, and selecting materials for packing or protection of product.
What You Will Do
The Crater I will assemble orders, count, weigh, move or direct movement to the designated floor location using hand trucks, pallet jacks or hoists. The role also involves recording date and quantity, method of shipment and verifying by signing initials.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development, and ideally 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment or basic carpentry skills.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
- 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment or basic carpentry skills
- Ability to safely use small hand and power tools
- Experience using table and band saws
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurate measuring
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English
- Ideally able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material
