Requirements

• Calculates and builds proper-sized crates, boxes, pallets, and framing for small to very large units
• Accurately measure and utilize software to design crates/pallets
• Operates a variety of carpentry hand and power tools or equipment
• Responsible for crane operations and loading onto trucks
• Visually inspect units coming from production and prior to shipment for visible damage or defects
• Ensures proper documentation attached to each unit
• Work with Quality Control for shipment inspection
• Provides shipment weights and dimensions, tracking numbers to appropriate internal and external customers
• Prepares standard and ad hoc reports as needed
• Maintains files and records for the department
• Determines space requirements and position of shipment on trucks
• Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications
