Role OverviewThe Crawler Crane Assembly Technician travels to job sites to safely build, test, and tear down heavy track-mounted crawler cranes. This hands-on role requires mechanical skills, heavy lifting, and strict safety rules to manage massive lattice booms, car body tracks, and counterweights.
What You Will Do
Build and teardown crawler crane tracks, car body, car body counterweights, upper works, and lattice boom sections safely. Rigging and pinning, use hand tools, hammers, and pins to secure structural components and rig hoist lines or pendants. Perform mechanical repairs, fix hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical issues on site to keep equipment ready.

Requirements

- Pass drug test and background check
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred
- 2+ years working in heavy construction or machinery maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using basic hand and power tools
- Valid Driver's License
- NCCO signal person or crane operator certification desired
