Job Description
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is seeking a Correction Officer to maintain control of the institution, supervise inmate activity, and ensure safety and security. The position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a valid driver's license. The Correction Officer will be responsible for enforcing rules and regulations, conducting inmate counts and searches, and preventing escapes or incidents that threaten security.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid driver's license for positions assigned to transportation section
  • Correction officer assessment or successful completion of assessment within past 24 months
  • Commercial driver's license to drive vehicles qualifying as commercial
