Role Overview

A member of the Commercial Credit team that partners with senior team members supporting the duties of underwriting and the ongoing monitoring of a portfolio of credit relationships. Responsible for performing supporting analysis, identifying risk issues, and completing sections of credit analysis to assess the creditworthiness of commercial clients. This role is hybrid, requiring four days a week in the New York, NY office.

What You Will Do

Facilitate credit needs by underwriting new requests and modifications from deal screen through approval and for the life of the loan. Manage ongoing credit risk through continuous credit monitoring activities, including annual reviews, interim memos, and covenant monitoring. Analyze financial information, prepare credit analyses, and make structure recommendations based on scenario evaluations. Partner with relationship managers, attend client calls, and present analysis during credit discussions or committee presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field and 2 years' experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement preparation/analysis or other financial analysis
  • In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum 6 years' higher education and work experience to include 2 years' experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement preparation/analysis or other financial analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and analysis of credit metrics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
