Job Description
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates deaths in New York City, focusing on sudden and unusual deaths. The laboratory assists with postmortem molecular diagnostics and provides information to families in cases of suspected illnesses or misdiagnosis. Candidates will analyze biological specimens, perform sequencing and analysis, and maintain quality control. The lab is based in New York City and provides molecular diagnostics to identify genes that may be linked to sudden deaths.

Requirements

  • Participate in casework rotation and sample processing.
