Job Description
The Crisis Counselor will provide brief, solution-focused mental health support to youth and families experiencing crisis. This role will involve providing interventions, stabilization, and case management in various community settings, partnering with families and treatment team members to build safety and strengthen resilience.

Requirements

  • Provide crisis management and intervention for youth referred by the San Francisco child welfare system, San Francisco’s Department of Public Health, SFUSD, and the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
  • Complete risk assessments, crisis counseling, creation of behavioral plans and safety plans
  • Participate in all treatment reviews, family team meetings and program staff meetings
  • Collaborate with team members, including child welfare workers, caregivers, school staff, therapists, and case managers
  • Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing Seneca’s mission and philosophy
