Role OverviewResponsible for direct and/or indirect care of patients in the emergency department, serves as a clinical resource to nursing, medical, and ancillary staff, and assists with transferring critically ill patients to the ICU.
What You Will Do
Rapidly triage patients, coordinate with physicians on plan of care, and facilitate care to decrease in-house codes. Act as a project lead for department objectives and/or process improvement.

Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in adult ICU and/or adult ED
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee
- BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) certification and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months
- Certification by specialty within 1 year of exam eligibility for area of practice
